Transactions take place in real time, which ensures that whatever information is displayed is accurate and up-to-date. It runs all modules concurrently and allows the user to move quickly and easily between modules.

4. Circulation Module

Circulation and Borrower Information System manages both Users & Users Services including Creation and Editing of user records, production of user notices, parameter setting and borrower analysis. Circulation system enables close tracking and managing of the library Materials and borrowers. Procedures include basic issues and returns, renewals and borrowers, temporary or fast add issues, borrower’s blocks and notes, making and filing reservation requests, item editing, and borrower maintenance.

It provides both basic and advanced search options. It also supports a Z39.50 client for broadcast searching. Fields are indexed to include both Word and Term indexing. Word, Key Word And phrase searching is very quickly and easy on any field in the database. Serial is designed to accommodate even the most complex publication patterns and lets staff members establish prediction patterns and process issues.
